01

Project overview

PitlaneOne replaces fragmented workshop records with one operational workspace for customers, vehicles, service history, appointments, inventory, teams and invoices.

The platform is currently being tested with three client workshops. Each company runs in an isolated environment with role-based access and its own customizable public website, using an interface designed for fast daily work on desktop and mobile.

For the German market, invoicing follows an explicit Draft–Issued–Correction–Storno lifecycle. Final documents are archived with their source data and can be exported as PDF and structured XRechnung files for the accountant; the product does not claim GoBD certification.

Engineering decisions

Why multi-tenant from the start?

Company context and database-level RLS make isolation a foundation of the product instead of relying only on interface checks.

Why lock an invoice after issuing it?

Accounting documents need a traceable history. Changes are handled through correction or Storno documents while the original remains available.

Why separate operations from the public website?

Staff receive a focused private workspace while every workshop can publish its own branded customer-facing presence from the same structured data.
